Shops of property tax defaulters sealed
Following instructions from the Municipal Commissioner
G. S. Panda, a team led by Deputy Commissioner and Revenue incharge
sealed shops belonging to defaulters of property tax.
Owners
of the two shops that were sealed, owed payment of property tax to the
tune of over Rs. 18,000 to the Corporation. Despite repeated reminders,
they failed to clear the dues, prompting the Corporation authorities to
resort to the move.
The officials left warning people against removing the seal without the permission of the Corporation authorities.
