Speed up development works, Minister tells VUDA officials
Works being taken up by the Visakhapatnam Urban
Development Authority (VUDA) in Srikakulam town should be speeded up,
Minister for R and B Dharmana Prasada Rao said while reviewing the works
with officials of VUDA and Srikakulam Municipality here on Tuesday.
He
wanted VUDA to take up beautification of the Rs. 5 crores approach road
to the town and speed up work on the Rs. 1.95 crores approach road to
RIMS.
Tenders for the Rs. 4.85 crores
Arasavilli-Collectorate 80-feet wide road should be finalised and work
started without delay, he said.
The Minister told the
officials to prepare estimates and call tenders for expansion of Chinna
Bazaar road, Amudalavalasa road and internal roads at Narasannapeta and
prepare a new design for the Kodi Ramamurthy stadium at Srikakulam.
Vice-Chairman
of VUDA Kona Sasidhar, Chief Engineer Viswanadha Rao, Commissioner
incharge of Srikakulam Municipality Bhaskara Rao, District Panchayat
Officer T. Venkateswara Rao and Municipal Engineer Rammohan Rao and
others explained the works to the Minister. MLA M. Srinivasa Rao was
also present.
