Supplement agenda of EGM released

KINADA: Mayor Kavikondala Saroja on Sunday released supplement agenda of the extraordinary general body meeting of the Kakinada Municipal Corporation scheduled to be held at 12 noon on Monday.
The supplement agenda included proposals to take up development works estimated to cost about Rs.11.68 crore collected by the civic body by levying building penalisation charges on the public.
Majority corporators of the ruling Congress party maintained a distance from the extraordinary general body meeting scheduled for 3 p.m. on Saturday, as there was no mention of the development works in the agenda copy. The corporators were under the impression that passing a resolution for taking up development works would help them get political mileage.
