Tap connection owner thrashes BMCStaff Reporter | Bhopal
The Bhopal Municipal Corporation (BMC) has got registered FIR against a tap connection owner for roughing up officials of its water works department here on Sunday.
The case was being investigated by officials of the Kotwali police station.
Incident took place in ward 18 coming under zone 4. Afaq, the in charge official of the water works department there has gone to sewer the tap connection of Hifzur Rehman for not paying up his dues amounting to over Rs 17,000.
However, the latter misbehaved with the official and roughed him up with a threat of dire consequences. Later, the matter was taken to police, who registered a case under sections of obstructing the government’s work and manhandling an on duty officer.
BMC officials said the Corporation is committed to recover its dues and the drive initiated for the purpose would continue.
