Tax collection centres to work on weekends

The Tiruchi Corporation has announced that all its computerised service
centres for tax collection will remain open on Saturday and Sunday to
enable city residents to pay their tax dues before the last date of
March 31. Corporation Commissioner V.P.Thandapani, in a press release,
said the tax collection centres will function from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on
both days. He urged tax payers to remit their dues without fail.
Defaulters will face disconnection of water supply and drainage
connections, he said.
