Team from Madhya Pradesh inspects corporation’s projects

TIRUCHI: A high-level official team from Madhya Pradesh inspected various projects being executed by the City Corporation for ensuring health and hygiene of the people on Thursday.
The team inspected the solid waste management programme; modern slaughter house; electric crematorium; underground drainage programme and computerisation of tax and non-tax accounts and a few other schemes.
Study
The team conducted a study on the implementation of the hygiene-based project at Viragupettai.
S. Sujatha, Mayor, explained the advantages of the ‘Total Sanitation Campaign,’ which involved the participation by service organisation, ‘Gramalaya’ in the city. With a power-point presentation, she also explained the projects to be implemented in the city in the near future.
The City Corporation Commissioner, T.T. Balsamy, spoke on schemes on augmentation of drinking water supply and other developmental projects.
