TN to implement Rs 100 cr solid waste management system
A solid waste management system for villages across Tamil Nadu would
soon be implemented at a cost of Rs 100 crore, the state government said
today.
While addressing the Assembly, Chief Minister Jayalalithaa said she was
expecting Rs 100 crore from the Centre for this purpose which is due to
the state.
She also hiked the construction cost of green houses given by the state government to its beneficiaries.
With the price of construction materials increasing in the open market,
she hiked the construction cost of green houses from Rs 1.80 lakh to Rs
2.10 lakh per home from this year.
She also said fund allotment for Indira Memorial Housing Scheme would be increased to Rs 1.20 lakh per home from this year.
