US team in City discusses civic woes
Bangalore, November 10, DHNS:
Robert Haley, Department of Environment, San Francisco and Tamar Hurwitz, Environment Education Manager visited the Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board (BWSSB) to discuss water supply and waste water management, after a talk with the Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) on solid waste management, on Wednesday.
The BWSSB officials gave a presentation on the water supply and sanitation in the City. The two delegates from San Francisco were also shown the waste water management at Cubbon Park.
Exchange visit
“Shortly, our experts from the Board will be visiting San Francisco, as part of the exchange visit. We will share our ideas and technologies and try to adopt their management based on our suitability,” said Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board Chairman, P B Ramamurthy.
Both Bangalore and San Francisco will be collaborating in handling civic woes plaguing both the cities, he added.
