VARANASI: The Varanasi Development Authority (VDA) on Thursday released the copies of Varanasi Masterplan-2011 at eight sites in the district including VDA
office, ADM City office, Sarnath, Varanasi Municipal Corporation (VMC)
premises, Mughalsarai Palika Parishad in Chandauli, Ramnagar Palika
Parishad, Ravidas Park and river police station Dashaswamedh. and
invited citizens’ opinion on it.

According to vice chairman,
VDA, VK Singh during the recent meeting the board approved the
masterplan prepared by town and country planning department.

The decision to release the specimen copy of master plan in public was
also made. The board has also invited the citizens to give their
suggestions or raise any objection about the plan within a month’s time.

Singh told that the specimen copies have been displayed at VDA office,
ADM City office, Sarnath, Varanasi Municipal Corporation (VMC) premises,
Mughalsarai Palika Parishad in Chandauli, Ramnagar Palika Parishad,
Ravidas Park and river police station Dashaswamedh. He said that two
staff members have also been deployed at each of these sites, and he
himself would monitor the views made by people on daily basis.
