VIJAYAWADA:
VMC deputy commissioner (Revenue) G Subba Rao has said that 5 percent
tax rebate will be given to those paying the annual property tax for the
year 2017-18 in advance by the end of April. Residents can pay the
taxes through the VMC official website www.ourvmc.org.

Subba Rao
on Saturday conducted a review meeting with the officials to discuss the
course of action to be followed in augmenting the revenue from
residents who are adamant to pay the taxes on time.

Speaking on
the occasion, he directed the officials to address the complaints lodged
by the residents through mobile application, online and ‘PuraSeva’app.

Residents
can pay the property tax in advance online at the three circle offices
in the city. The payment details will be updated on the VMC official
website, he said.

He also
called upon the residents to clear the tax dues at the earliest along
with 2 per cent fine in case they failed to do so, their tap and
drainage connections will be snapped.
