VMC seizes houses
Vijayawada Municipal Corporation (VMC) officials have
confiscated flat Nos. 301 and 403 at Sri Lakshmi Land in Sitarampuram
for not paying the property tax. The VMC also snapped water supply at
Rokallapalem in Durgapuram (assessment No. 195497), according to
Assistant Commissioner A. Nagakumari. She said that on Monday another
house located on Durgaiah Street in 21A ward was also seized for
non-payment of tax for the last four years.
The people should pay their taxes immediately to avoid such punishments under the Revenue Recovery Act, she said.
