Vuda focuses on pending projects
Visakhapatnam: The
Vuda has swung into action on deciding the future of several projects
taken up under the Public Private Partnership (PPP) mode that have been
pending since long.

Vice Chairman, N Yuvaraj, directed the officials to prepare
comprehensive reports on status of each PPP project, to place the same
before the forth coming Vuda Board meeting, and decide further course of
action in regard to implementation.

Vuda
has taken up a number of projects in the areas of housing, tourism,
entertainment and commercial space under PPP, on the basis of lease,
revenue sharing and Build-Operate- transfer. A review was conducted with
the officials, as well as the private partners of PPP projects, on
Sunday, to discuss issues from both sides.

projects are Big Screen at Tenneti Park, Commercial complex in front of
Vuda office, revolving restaurant and cottages atop Kailasagiri, Mega
Hosuing Project at Rushikonda, Boat Club at Vuda Park, Vaisakhi Jala
Udyanavanam and Ultra Modern Layout at Dakamarri and others.

Maytas, Radiant, L & T, Fusion foods, Nirmitha Boat Club, Ambica,
Vensor and other organizations were assigned these projects through open
tendering and open auction procedures. Some housing projects like
Panchavati Township, with Vision Ventures, Bay Mount, with Balaji
Constructions, and Sunny Isles, with KSR Properties, at Rushikonda and
commercial complex at Vizianagaram , have been already completed. “The
remaining projects, initiated in recent times, are held back due to many
reasons.”
