Water Board responds to 101 complaints
HYDERABAD: The Prajavani programme held on Monday by the Hyderabad Metroplitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWS&SB) led to solutions of 101 complaints on the spot.Altogether, the Water Board received 161 complaints at the head office and division offices.Complaints were made mainly regarding billing disputes, one-time settlement, new water connections, change of name, metering disputes and drainage problems.
M Jagadeeshwar, managing director of HMWS&SB chaired the programme held at the head office at Khairatabad. Complaints were received from all parts of GHMC such as Asmangadh, Erragadda, Shapurnagar, Malkajgiri, Marredpally, Bhoiguda, LB Nagar, Mallepally, Gode-ki-Khabar, Azampura, SR Nagar, Gunfoundry, Serilingampally, Jubilee Hills and Kukatpally.
The main objective of the ‘Prajavani’ programme is to interact with consumers directly, receive grievances from consumers and redress them at the earliest.
K Ashok Reddy, in-charge executive director, D Sundar Rami Reddy, chief general manager and S Anand Swaroop, general manager, single window cell also participated in the programme.
The programme is also being organised in all operation and maintenance divisions for the convenience of consumers.
