Water supply only once a day
Municipal Commissioner G. S. Pandadas on Monday said
that it was not possible to supply drinking water twice a day in view of
ongoing strike by electricity employees. There is a possibility of
disruption in power supply at K.L. Rao Head Water Works. The power cut
would hit the water works and supply. Hence, the water would be supplied
only during morning, he said.
The commissioner,
however, asked the engineering wing to make alternative arrangements for
pumping etc at the Head Water Works. The officials should ensure that
the people would not face any hardship in accessing safe drinking water,
he said.
