Workshop held for officers of local bodies
Mysore, December 1, DHNS :
A half-a-day workshop on solid waste management for corporation commissioners, chief officers and environmental engineers of urban local bodies (ULB) of the State was organised by the Tourism Development Institute at Pooja Bhagavath Mahajana PG Centre in the city recently.
The programme was part of a three-day training programme at Administrative Training Institute (ATI) for various officers of ULB.
Visit
They were later taken to Zero Waste Management Plant at Kumbarkoppal managed by the Federation of Mysore City Corporation Ward Parliament.
Vice President of the federation Prof K S Nagapathi, explained about the process, methods and technical aspects involved in Zero Waste Management.
Prof K S Nagapathi explained in about the problems and challenges faced in organising the Zero Waste Management system.
Co-ordinator Prof V Jagannath and Federation President D Madegowda were present during the officials visit .
