23 projects mooted in RMC standing committee
RAJKOT: A total of 23 project proposals, including the laying of pipelines for drainage in the city, were mooted for discussion in the standing committee meeting of Rajkot Municipal Corporation (RMC) on Thursday.
According to RMC officials, projects worth crores of rupees include the laying of pipelines at residential colony near Janakpuri on Sadhu Vasvani Road in ward number 12, final plot-770 in town planning (TP) scheme-4 on Raiya Road, final plot-218 at Nanamava in TP scheme-5 of ward number 11, TP scheme-7 and P-2 (A) of Nanamava in ward number 13, underground drainage pipelines for 304 developed housing scheme under Basic Services to the Urban Poor (BSUP)-2 and final plot-225 of package-2 of TP scheme of BSUP-1 under Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission (JNNURM).
Also presented in the meeting were proposals for installing high pressure washing system in vehicles meant for carrying out sanitation drive at toilets in RMC-run schools, contract for providing fodder for cattle boxes, sanctioning of fund for medical camps, library run by Kothariya Naka Mitra Mandal Trust and sterilisation of stray dogs.
