Bird sanctuary to come up at dhapa waste disposal site

Kolkata Municipal Corporation (KMC) is planning to set up a bird sanctuary at the waste disposal site in Dhapa.

The proposal has been approved in the Member, Mayor-in-councils (MMIC)
meeting today. The Municipal Commissioner had earlier approved the
proposal on 7 January this year and recommended to place the file before
the MMIC meeting.
