Greater Hyderabad municipal officials on Thursday seized four cars
and furniture belonging to Sri Lakshmi Gayathri Hotels Private Ltd which
owns Hotel Katriya at Somajiguda.
The hotel figured in the list
of top property tax defaulters and owes `3.40 crore to the civic body.
The cars that were seized include Toyota Camry 2.4, Honda CRV, Maruti
Alto LXi and Hyundai Eon .
GHMC commissioner Somesh Kumar said
that an amount of `3,40,03,108 was due towards property tax from Sri
Lakshmi Gayathri Hotels (P) Ltd which runs Katriya at Somajiguda.
The management paid Rs 1 crore by three cheques and promised to pay the balance tax shortly.
