Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) plans to build two new
bridges besides remodelling the existing bridge that will complement
its Santacruz-Chembur east-west link road.
The Authority has invited private agencies for preparing detailed project report.
“The bridges will come up at University Junction, Bandra-Kurla Junction
and near Mithi River and complement the Santacruz-Chembur link road,
which is expected to be completed by the year-end,” MMRDA said in a
statement.
According to MMRDA, the two new bridges would
connect Bandra-Kurla Link Road to CST Junction and Hans Burga Marg to
CST Marg, respectively, while the existing 40-meter long and 30-meter
wide CST Bridge would be remodelled to a length of 100 meters and width
of 45 meters.
