The schedule of tankers at fixed points has already been uploaded on the
DJB website as almost half of these are GPS-enabled, and so can track
the real-time movement and location of these tankers. “This is an
important step to improve the tanker services by the Jal Board by
introducing transparency and bringing in predictability,” said a DJB
official.
The fleet has around 800 departmental and hired water tankers in 22
zones of DJB. So far, schedule for 20 zones has been uploaded while the
rest is in process and in case of non-delivery of water by tankers,
consumers may lodge a complaint on the numbers provided on the website.
