Commissioner K. Vijayakarthikeyan signed the memorandum of
understanding (MoU) with Fraunhofer representative Anandhi Iyer in the
presence of officials from the Municipal Administration and Water Supply
Department in Chennai.

Officials from the German Consulate in Chennai were also present.

Fraunhofer will help the city by giving technical inputs in water supply projects and urban mobility.

It will share its technical expertise and offer consultancy without any financial commitment, though.

The Corporation will also utilise the lab to groom its engineers in city management.
